Just linked through from the article in Stuff.co.nz 24 July ... fantastic. This is a really innovative project that has great potential for further development either as a standalone unit or clustered construction with walkways, amenities etc.
Look forward to perhaps a document highlighting all the issues & solutions that you have had to endure.
Out of curiosity, how would a bathroom unit be built and what do you expect the extra cost there might be? I'd imagine it would be most sensible, if you went that route, to add an extra floor. Make the bottom floor the bathroom and kitchen combo and the second what you currently have.
Magnificient! I'd love to spend a few days up there. I hope you don't mind me asking but how long did the project take to complete and how much did it cost you?
This is awesome! I would be prepared to pay for it, but the labour times are a little too daunting for me. But if you ever start making them to sell, give me an email, I would love to buy one. alexbunnyboy@gmail.com
You are up[ in the air. Have you thought about adding wind power to this? Another high tech upgrade would be smart glass. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPecmAL3jug
Thanks for sharing your project. Really cool. When you say you go pee off the side, you climb the rest of the way up and on the roof? Just wondered if a lot got on the glass going down. Speaking of which is that some giant plexiglass sheet for windows?
Wish I had that gumption when I was your age, course I was a female and in my day females were encouraged to get on with making your families ideas happen and not your own. Still, I have had a good life it's only now that I'm older I envy what I see young people do. So I say enjoy!
This is beautiful and amazing. It's also the cutest tiny house ever. Good job!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)

ReplyDeleteLooking good! Have you thought about adding Windspire?
ReplyDeleteNeed to offer full engineering, construction plans! With a disclamer of course.
ReplyDeleteLove it! wanted to go underground but this is way better. Reminds me of the sky houses on the last tom cruse movie.
Mate, that is bloody fantastic! Good job.
